Awesome idea, but personally I'd say the hippo should look less natural. The skin seems pretty real, not plastic-ey.

Funny, but there's so much good humour out there that's not gay jokes.... Y'know?

Yeah, I didn't get it until I read the title. I think if you put him lying on his belly, like in the game, it would be more recognizable.

I agree with Chengui, put the hippo on his back, and maybe some of the other hippos in the distance running to help or looking shocked.

I think this is a great idea. I loved this game growing up. I wouldn't have made the drug reference, yet those little white marbles are much closer to a pill than any food I've eaten. :D I don't mind the realness to the drawing style, but the sketchwork is a little unrefined. Kind of feels like album art for a no-name punk band. I'd have to look at the game again. But maybe it's the hinges on his jaw that broke off or something. I think we need something more in the language of the game. And having the other colored hippos would definitely eliminate any confusion as to what this design is referencing.



Still, nice submission! I think it's wearable.

Good idea, but I've seen it elsewhere. Also the style of the graphics threw me off a little bit.

I think as it is it's tragic and a little depressing, but if you replace the X eye with a swirl, then the hippo is just f'd up and not dead. Everyone hates an OD, but everyone loves getting high - not necessarily on drugs, but high on life or love or hooch or sex or a new pair of shoes or (in my case) a fat stack of comics, cds and dvd. Boo yah!



So, I'm going to say 5 as it is and 5$ if he's not dead.

I though the hippos top teeth were eyes at first.

I love it (and understood it just by looking at it, which made me happy). The only problem I have with it is that one of the closer circles (marbles, pills, what-have-you) is smaller than the rest. It threw me off and I still don't understand why its there.

I agree with removing the smaller marble. it's an easy change that will clear a lot up. and i think adding the other hippos could be really funny, but it might get too cluttered. its a funny idea, i like it!

hippo on belly, remove small ball, add in the other 3 hippos in th e back (i don't think it'd be too much/cluttered as others may think), and graphics are fine the way they are. 4

Amazing concept, outright super. Unclear hippo, get the look right, and no stylization please. Show it, and I buy it!
