some of the bigger birds look slightly awkward, i like the way the strings wrap all the way around the legs of the bird on the far right to make it look like someone has just come along and tied him up.

Very cool concept. It might be cool to try spreading out the birds over the shirt so that they're at more varied levels. You could put some of the smaller birds higher and the larger ones at the bottom. I like gray as the shirt color.

I'd like to know what kind of birds you chose... some are obvious, but what about the one on the very left (cormorant? gannet?) and top left?

Wonderful idea! I'd love to see the colors look the way they do in the thumbnail - not so bright and with some overlapping of the birds.

I agree, color the birds. I would buy this in a heartbeat! I know all those birdies and I would be thrilled to have an emu, an ostrich, a kiwi, a flightless cormorant and a kakapo all on one shirt! The two smallest birds, above the emu and ostrich, look like they're just laying/standing on the ground though. It'd be nice of they looked more they were floating like the others.



But even with those suggestions... I love it. 5$

Do not color the birds in! I think the balloons should be more realistic looking. Also, I agree with CatM that you could play with the weights and heights of the birds.

Hey guys thanks alot for the feed back so far!! I sat in front of my comp. for hours and hours trying to figure out how to color them in... since they are all different colors and that wouldn't be able to work out if it were actually printed... I tried different levels of grays and browns and what not.. but nothing worked.. I honestly thought that using line looked better than the different colors... please please help me out here!! because as of right now i am clueless.. also I def. agree with the comments about making a few of the birds looking more floating.. that is also in the works. Thanks so much everyone! Keep the feedback comin'!

one comment: the ostrich in the foreground has a pink balloon that looks like it goes behind the orange balloon holding the cormorant in the background... it messes with my depth perception. Otherwise I like it just as is.

i love this shirt...the only complaint i have is that the two birds supported by just one balloon each look unbalanced. otherwise, great. as is, $4, change the balloons for those two birds I mentioned, $55555555555555555555555555555

I second the suggestion to spread the birds all over the shirt. Makes them look more like their actually floating, and not just waiting for the bus.

Well, it made me smile. Possibly a bit higher with coloured birds would suit my taste a little better.

I like the concept and execution. Only thing I'd change is location of art (I'm a traditionalist).

I think though if I were to draw other animals or insects above them that would be an even bigger competition.. then there would be a huge problem with hierarchy. I agree the birds need a little more something, and don't worry I'm still working on it. Thanks for the input!

I love this. I would totally buy it as it is. However, if you were going to tweak, I would put the majority of the shirts on the front, not the back. (They are just too cute for the back.) Also, I would change the visual line by making some of the birds higher, and some lower. Like I said though, I would buy it today, as is. :)

Great concept. Cracks me up. I agree the composition could use some tweaking in the placement of the birds. Also the drawing of the birds needs some personality. Great work though.

Please resubmit this if it doesn't go through. If you have to tweak it, go for it, because it would totally be a shame to not have this shirt.
