I do find the rays a bit tricky, but the color and the contrast it gives is so terrific in them. Ideally if you could find a... waterier? ...softer way to show radiance, it might be better.

Yeah! While the design was being critiqued I got many different options. Could of probably made it more blue. But many suggested to make it pop out more.
The first versions of this design didn't have the greenish parts. Thanks for leaving comments though! I Appreciate them very much! |

Everyone has an opinion. I for one really dig the rays, it's the "brushwork" on the waves that keeps catching my eye. Still, I like the design a lot, and hope it prints.

i'm torn on the rays...i like how the lines in the illo are rougher 'sketch'-y appearance and the rays seem a bit too solid, but the placement is awesome
