I like this, but I don't like the shape of the heart. It needs to be more defined.

Yeah, looking at it now it could use a bit more definition - but if it gets chosen for printing I can make that change in under 5 minutes,

I like it aesthetically, but that's probably because I'm a Beardsley fan. It doesn't look like mere influence; it appears to attempt his style overall. I doubt you intended that, so I'm sorry; but there it is.

Really lovely. I agree with the comments on fiddling with the heart - as it is the heart fades into the color of the shirt too much.

Chlorinator, I tried drawing it anatomically and it didn't seem to fit with the rest of the line work, it was very detailed. I guess I just need to find a happy medium between iconographic and realistic.

Cyndyrelli, I think it does fade a little bit, but I'm sure the ink on the shirt will make a big enough difference compared to Photoshop.

Ellsswhere on Jun 05 '08 i have had classes where we copied a masters work, it is the only logical way we can learn their genius and grow from it... keep playing with it and see where it takes you, the balance of rigid form and organic seems less dominant in your rendition, that could really benefit your work
