everything is well rendered, but I keep seeing the fox having a HUGE colon problem

nice! It's hard to illustrate a story or fable in this case with only one image. The fox is still trying to get the grapes here, it might have worked better if you illustrated the end of the fable. For example the fox lying down, tired and pissed off looking up despising them. Still great work though!
