About my design

by PrincessJellyfish
Differences in our music, thoughts, cultures, bodies, etc. are what is most wonderful and remarkable in life. We need to embrace them. Celebrate them. Lollapalooza.

I like the black on white. I think the mic and the speakers, the city background looks cool. I'm just not so sure about the writing. To me, it just doesn't look like it fits. I still give it a 4!

I like the design, I would try to makeso the chord actually looks like it's writing the text. More loopy or something

I absolutely get what is being said about the type. I did try some more “loopy” hand drawn typefaces, but it just wasn’t working. They were too unreadable and basically untidy. I chose the font that I did because it was clean, easy to read, and so different from the gritty image that it pops. I find it more interesting not being so uniform in feel, but hey that’s just me. While on the other hand with the other fonts I tried everything blended together and was bland. Plus the font I picked fit nicely in the “circle” making everything together feel more symmetrical. Embrace difference. Clean and gritty unite! lol. Thanks for the comments folks. Much appreciated. (btw-just incase it’s unnoticeable at first glance the mic is a globe)

i really like how this looks red with white, though I do agree with the type.. I think its too thin with the bold graphic possibly?

Really like the shirt and concept, also dont like the font of the script, looks odd against all the straight lines.

I came to the site today because you were begging for votes on craigslist and I was just looking for a free toaster oven. I will probably vote for another design, but nice effort before the bottom part. The mic cord writing and the mushy sentiment is... lame. But I see potential in you, and you've inspired me to stretch pen muscles I've let atrophy, so in that respect: On guard, JellyFish!

The illustration is great but the text is sloppy (if kept, I think it ought to be "differences" and the line should be consistent in color and width). Keep submitting!

i agree the text really doesnt do the design justice.

i agree with you princess jellyfish that the text shouldnt be real uniformed but that text looks like a catholic school teachers writing on the chalkboard. the design is bangin and the globe was definitely noticeable.

the versions with white ink look off... the shading is white, when it should be dark, if you see what i mean

thanks for the comments. yeah, i get what your all saying. I'm not exactly looking to win with this design. I just wanted to generate some traffic to get some feedback and I have been. It is all much appreciated. thanks.

it's okay, but a bit cliche on the design elements.

my first thought was the same as dulosis, i would use "differences" rather than "difference"

the only problem i have with the text is the extra crossover that leads to the input jack and then the white space separating the two... although, i do understand that you want that back toward the center to keep the focus...

as far as color schemes, i believe this shirt has the potential to be one of those epically great shirts that could justifiably be printed in whatever colors you want... i'd prefer red with black rather than with the white that's shown, but i don't think any of them look bad...

well done!

The saying on it is a bit hypocritical to the tee.
