piercing fans and body modification lovers,, really gonna hate u for that wat u said :) ,, u should respect others tastes if we go judging something by lowering its value just because we don't like it personally nothing will go around ,,,respect ur opinions, but just put it in a strange harsh way to call who do piercing cheap,. theres something called freedom of life

as for the design, I didnt notice the piercings til they were pointed out. not something id wear but great artwork.

just as you have your opinion as pro-piercing others will have opinions against it (design wise).

As two separate elements, the hair and the face are both beautifully done. The problem I have with this is that the face seems to be looking in completely the wrong direction. If you cover up the face, you expect a face looking slightly down and left. But uncover it and what you get is a face looking to the right.



If it were to be chosen, look at using two slightly diferent shades of gold to get that extra texture in the hair and especially the shadow on the nose which would just be lost with a one colour print.



On the subject of the piercings: I'd prefer it without, but it's not a deal breaker.

I don't understand why the lion has barbie hair. Am I missing something? Apart from that I love it.

dr ant its in shimmer and theres no grades in it bout piercing and the female hair thats my main idea lion head with female hair and piercing some like it some dont this how all things goes around i just had vision bout it and i made it and happy bout it :) heheh

I agree with Mezo about the facial piercings on the design. They detract from the image. I don't care what people attach to their face in real life. The illustration is lovely, Jennifer Aniston would be green with envy.

gaaa. the hair and the face...two different angles can't cope.....

It's not that I'm anti-piercing (in the 90s, I had my lip & tongue pierced)....but eyebrow piercings are totally redneck. I don't care what you say, they look trashy stupid on anyone. Be advised that I am not calling the PERSON with them trashy or stupid- just the piercing look itself.



Besides that, on the actual design they don't feel rendered right. Like they are not even piercing the lion's skin, just stuck on top. They aren't working and contrast the cool smooth style you have going otherwise.

I feel like the hair is sitting too far down on the lion's head, or the lion's head is too big in comparison to the hair. Maybe if the Lion's ear was sticking out on the left side it'd help balance it a little. The piercings I didn't notice until I read the comments, and I don't like them.



Basically the hair and head placements need to be worked with a little, imo.

I think this is great with or without piercings.

i enjoy it all except the piercings, but I'm willing to overlook those b/c the shimmery gold looks SO awesome!

I am pro-choice on piercing, tattoos, scarification and whatever the heck you want to do with your own body, because heck, it's YOURS- and I love the design of the lion on shimmery ink. BUT- and this is thing that makes me rate it down- I think that it is the rendering of the piercings that ruin it for me. The hair is luxuriant and long and you capture the waves perfectly. But the piercings are flat and solid. Maybe if you could have chromed them a bit, it would have appeared even more elegant and dangerously alluring, which would have been perfect for the articulated, beautiful, and savage teen queen lioness. Even though lionesses have no manes. :) A fem fatale for sure.

If the piercings actually fit with this design I wouldn't mind it. But with how you already have such a great contrast with the lion and the gorgeous hair, the piercings honestly take away from that. They make it too busy.



I'm not against piercings, just on this design, they don't seem to fit.

Draw the piercings correctly and all of these overly opinionated people will be satisfied. A true artist can put anything unsatisfying in a picture and make it satisfying if drawn correctly. As stated before, render the piercings correctly (go see the shading and thickness of a real piercing..) As for the hair, someone mentioned that the hair and face of the lion don't fit; it's just that you made the hair on the top of the head too flat. That's the only problem. Imagine a real lion's face and how huge it is. Give the feline face more room. It's a common mistake with all artists to draw the head too small and placing things too close together. It's obviously a male lion. A pretty-boy if you will. Great design, it really caught my eye... ^.^
