This is my first Threadless submission so constructive criticism would be great.

the horse mother looks like she's wearing three legged pants almost

her skirt looks weird.

i like the concept. makes me smile. and i have to agree with your statement, many a time i can say i've been in that situation..

I reckon tho, that this still needs a little work.

Nice idea, but the artwork is a little stiff.

the rhino looks great, i think the horse and maybe the unicorn need a bit more work. the idea is awesome.

The unicorn could use some color but other then that I think its great.

The uni's blocks shouldn't all be facing the same way.

This works on the same visual pun as Runnin' Rhino, so I'm not sure if this'll fly considering that submission was printed not too long ago -- but this is a very good first submission and I look forward to more of your work!

Thanks to everyone who has commented so far. I agree with many of you about the skirt. Hanging fabric has always been troublesome for me.

A rather cute concept. I think that the poses do seem a little stiff, and all together, they don't seem like much of a family.

Definitely a possibility someone needs to look into. $5.

Jeez TatooedBear, I guess I didn't think what I wrote would garner such animosity. I won't argue with you that the first impressions that pop into my head aren't always the nicest, but I would wager that everyone suffers from that same fault to some degree. I guess I was trying to take a positive and creative spin on an otherwise ugly sentiment. I did not mean to offend anyone, but I also don't intend to apologize for what I feel was a pretty honest statement. Thanks for your comment.

To everyone else who has commented with constructive criticism so far: Thanks. As most of you have probably figured out, I am no artist. I will have to work on making my characters look less stiff in the future. I was going for a family having a 'normal' night at home thing. Everyone together but each person doing there own thing. I thought it was important to convey that this family felt nothing was out of the ordinary n the picture. Maybe it fell a little flat.

I really like FRICKINAWESOME's suggestion for a rug. I considered putting diapers on the unicorn before I submitted it but decided against it. I thought that white diapers on a white unicorn would look strange.

I think if you were to add some shade and maybe a little bit of shadows, the image wouldn't look quite so flat. And I agree with the rug and diaper comments. If you think the diaper would look too weird because it's white on a white unicorn, maybe make it more of a creme color like the chairs? Hope that helps...
