i'd like it better if one of her options included a gun.

Haha the middle one has those poofy princess cuff things not "huge knockers"

I like the design

Great concept I love the rock star and the princess but - it would be better if instead of a ballerina there was a police officer or something less stereotyped. Same with the color of the tee - please something besides pink or yellow.

maybe I'll make an out of the box version, but I tried to stay stereo-typical for this one. :) I thought about a gun though!

lets stay away from political correctness for a bit this is a great idea and a little girl like that (yes stereotypically) would love to be any of those.

...no, the little girl would want to be the ballerina or the princess. The punk rocker doesn't fit the stereotype, so therefore, the other designs shouldn't have to stay within the stereotype, and it'd be nice if they were more varied-- trust me, to a little girl, "princess" and "ballerina" are strikingly similar-- you wear pretty dresses, gavotte about, and people talk about how beautiful you are. I think some more variety would be fun.

I still like this concept a lot. Colors are fine, though it's true DivineAna that "princess" and "ballerina" are a bit similar. Doesn't mean you have to give her a gun for chrissakes though! It's hard to come up with professions that have a distinctive silouhette, I imagine!

The colors irk a bit, though I understand the reasons....I think maybe I myself would prefer more off-kilter versions of this and it's brother design...For the girl, in a purple or dark colors maybe, a doctor, archeologist, or a teacher? Same colors for the boy, but maybe a hairstylist and a ballerina?

Regardless of sterotypes, policital correctness, etc. I think the idea has great merit, and there are a lot of ways you can go with it.

It may be rather obvious, but I myself have never been a little girl, so i had to work REAL hard to get the three silhouettes :) And I ran out of things at princess and ballerina... I really would like to do a more out-of-the-box version but honestly, how do you silhouette an archaeologist without making it look like a butcher? I had the same problem with teacher and nurse, although i could have done nurse but I didn't want it to end up looking kinky :| Glad it's creating sucha stir though!

I don't know, but I think that if the silhouettes were going upwards instead of downwards it would look better, but that's just me.

I don't know where people are getting 'punk rocker' from. The singer could just as easily be Hannah Montana.

I think this is spot on, nice work.

I kinda agree with seaweed abut the gun but it doesn't detract too much. When you posted the brother design I found myself immediately wishing there was a girl one. Overall, nice shadow choices, etc. I want one. :)

Why is the ballerina's hand touching her head? I've been in ballet for 15 years and never seen anything like that... maybe put her arms in en haut (both above her head --- google it) or one in en haut and one in ala second (one above her head and one to the side). Sorry - that arm position just bugs me!!! Otherwise, love it.

i would appreciate it a whole lot more if you pushed the envelope and changed the shadows to a podium (implying presidency ahem ahem) and maybe others not so non gender role-ing. that requires a bit more thought into it, but i really like the idea so i hope you consider my suggestion. also, how about giving the little girl two little afro pigtails. (for those of us who got them naps.) kkthnx

I think the ballerina's arms also need to be changed so she is not touching her head as that kinda is a little awkard looking.

I think the stereotypes work well.

I think rockstar is fine, I know little girls that wish to be rockstars when they grow up.

I do not however like the idea of having a gun. I mean I get that people want the girl to want to be something with power but whats stopping her from wanting to be a chef or firefighter? The silhouette of a female figure with a gun will not be very clear and can convey mixed messages.
