I like it, perhaps a different color for the strings, dark red perhaps?

I would like to see the guy in more of a dark green , also keep in mind where the strings are going. At the moment it looks like they are hanging off the chest.

well, the photo's been around for a while- but this is actually a photoshop tracing of someone else's idea, rather then a take off, which is, I feel, a bit different

Thanks, snegoratchka, for the link -- this is particularly disturbing since the Parkeharrisons are not well known (vis a vis Mapplethorpe).

Tracing over pictures and omitting certain elements of a composition without adding any artistic/design imput and not detailing the origins of a design is the same thing as just taking an image not created by you and slapping it on a shirt to me.

There is a big difference between parody, influence, and homage and outright copying. I have no problem with people who derive inspiration from other's art or those who use public domain clip art in a novel fashion -- but it is downright dishonest to then turn around and pretend that one has down the nitty-gritty work to compose such a design, when there was no other thought except to "get paid."

Worse, people who attempt plagiarism in order to compete jeopardize the whole Threadless endeavor by exposing them to copyright lawsuits.

Shame shame.

I think I would like it if wind were blowing in his hair and he was airborne. If he is stationary, or preparing a liftoff I would think more birds would add dramatic effect.

This is the second one I have run across where someone has just ripped off someone else's design. The polar bear on the iceflow by the island was a rip off as well. Get original people! Threadless should take this one down.

Im sorry guys i didnt mean it to be this bad. It was more of a homage thing because i loved this photograph so much i wanted to put it on a shirt. Once i had submitted it i realized it wouldnt be taken as so in any way. I tried to delete my submission but i didnt see where to, if anyone knows how let me know. I feel stupid, again im sorry.
