As far as other color options, I wanted to keep the colors very natural for this illustration, so there are no other options, aside from possible variations of shirt colors. |

mezo on May 07 '08 Interesting color scheme and really lovely linework. That touch of solid white fill on his neck is refreshing! Something that might be nice would be to maybe add a VERY subtle bark texture behind the bird. It'd have to be very soft so it didn't overpower the lines, however it would give the illustration more of an anchor. Make sense? 4

it reminds me of that calvin and hobbes strip where they find the dead bird. bill watterson does a pictures very similar for the first "throwaway" panel.
