Reminds me a bit of the EU flag that Rem Koolhaas did (image here). I like it.

According to Wikipedia there are 193 countries and territories. That's a LOT. However, if you do make one with all 193, it would look so awesome and you could probably belt print it.

Thanks for your commentaries

The white color is more important as the others colors.

The concept and his graphic form, is to imagine your flag watching the colors, some already been defined, but others you have them to look for.

Mexico it's in design, just as others countries

Lotta red flags. I'm just noticing.

I see what you're trying to do but this is really horribly executed.

It's so hard to see where some of the flags start or end and a lot of them just seem to bleed randomly into others. I know you said that the white space is more important, but it doesn't seem to have any meaning at all.

My advice would be to research every flag in the world (including things like the UN, etc) and re-submit as an all over belt print, which I think would have a much greater chance of getting chosen.

squatterjohn on May 04 '08
Don't resubmit as a belt print. They can't do multiple colours.

Acceptance your criticizes, but I do not share it.

You don't like it? ok.but don't discuss the realization of that work and the global concept of that.

If you will see the REAL flags of earth countries, go to and see a realistic picture of that flags, but the intention is execute a union of flags using the minimal graphic icon representations, and see what happens with this union.

You mention "a union of flags using the minimal graphic icon representations, and see what happens with this union.

"

I look at this and wonder if there is a way to do it that is less visually disturbing and is more respectful of the identity of the countries. Yes, I get the concept of why they blend together but, in doing that some identity was lost. Notice how in the posts above me people were disappointed to see they were not included in this design that was meant to be unifying? It has ended up exclusionary. Also, a lot of research would have to be done to vett this design. Things like the American flag stacked ontop of the Japanese flag could be seen as a sort of political or social statement, and really it is, its a national identity that is being manipulated.

I do have to hand it to you for taking on such a loaded project. Best wishes with your design.

What about the AFRICA?!!?!
armgraph
armgraph on May 05 '08
If you see this design by the political and social eye, you don't see the real concept of the work.

Japan is in center

This design CAN'T BE RELOADED....

WHY?

It's very simple, if the people will see this work based on political vision, NEVER will be accept this design.

Let see the design by political eye and try to watch the designs and illustrations like a personal vision of the artist for differents things and concepts

This is great, I get what you're trying to do and agree you can't include every country. I think the problem is you said at the start "United Flag", suggesting this might be a flag when all countries are united: instead to me this design shows that different nations fit together better than they might think.

I like how the flags interact with eachother it reminds me of a puzzle. I also think the white shirt is very striking.
