This is a really great idea and animated quite well, but if you could bring the concept out even one more level i'd love it even more, perhaps being uncovered with an fossilized ARCADE sign right next to it with a bunch of modern day characters sweeping off the remnants found in the dirt. Still, love the drawings of the extremely old-school arcade creatures.

mogelstinkt - we all get our "threadspiration" from somewhere...famous works of art, movies...I think there's a BIG difference between a simple anatomy build of a character's skeleton and a fossilized version of a GAME.

I don't like the lightened background they're sitting on as it is-- it kind of outlines the shape of a barbell, which is sort of weird. Maybe you could change something about that before printing.

I think you're better off dropping the second (tan) color behind the figures, and have the items float and define them with drop shadows instead.
