About my design

by dlene
Ever wonder why it's raining when people give a ritual dance? it is because the clouds find it funny whenever they see wrong steps, they keep on laughing until they produce tears of too much joy and those are the rain that they get after dancing...:-)

hope you like my trivia...lol

cute concept but without the explanation it doesn't really work for me

I don't know that that concept comes across in the design alone. I doubt I'd get that idea from the shirt alone.

hmnn...i got the idea even without the explanation, its really works for me..someone commit mistake while they are dancing and the cloud find it funny...

Very very funny concept. And it's great that it's not too obvious.

Yeah, I was kind of offended by this shirt at first. I needed it explained to me. O_O

Not sure they do a 'rain dance' in Africa... and the figures suggest this based on the dress and drum.

@ zombies can jive-sorry to hear that...may i ask at what point did i offend you?

@pixtoons-yeah they have a rain dance BUT this is not an african, i purposely did it as a silhouette because if we look to someone far away we almost can't figure their looks..

thanks for all the cooment..god bless

Smart design. Clouds laughing and tearing up over the funniness and ridiculousness of the so called rain dance.

yea its kind of nonunderstandable without explanation and if i was wearing it i wouldnt want to have to explain it over and over and over and over...

I understood it. It does look like the clouds are tearing up in laugher at the sight of the dance.

i love this! i think you dont have to explain it over and over and over again when you wear this,if somebody saw this and wonder why the clouds is laughing, they automatically look at the bottom and they will find it that somebody commited a mistake while they are dancing...duh! very simple as that..:-@

it is kind of offensive at first glance... as if the clouds are making fun of the ridiculousness of the dancers

the clouds are really brilliant. I didn't get the dancing part and think it would be better if they were possibly laughing at something else.

i think its great without an explanation, let people interpret it for themselves. great idea tho!

I know you made the women silhouetted to avoid specific ethnicities clouding the picture, but when you put these black figures doing a rain dance next to another figure playing a djembe, well, it looks "African." And given that context, it does maybe look offensive at the clouds laughing at their cultural tradition and beliefs.

I understood it, but at the same time because of the way they're dressed, without you stopping and explaining it to someone, they might be offended. My suggestion would be to make the dancers in different outfits or something...Cute concept, though. And I really like the clouds. $3 for the idea!
