so any shirt w/ a stupid little animal animation is all of the sudden art
"oh, its so cute 5 "
thats f*ckin retarded
theres no skill or cleverness
and damn sure no inspiration in these garbage designs
threadless needs a lot less of this this mindless nonsensical faux art
and now lets hear it
"whats your problem"
"why are you so negative"
"just cause you dont like it blah blah blah"
"you're an asshole"
(ok the last one's true)
but seriously this place gangs up on anyone who's not rainbows and lollipops, its pretty lame
I dare say diversity was a big part of what made threadless popular to begin with, and cursing and shunning anyone w/ a different opinion doesnt seem very diverse to me
I'd like it better if the bee were spelling words- not just trying to :) It is cute though :)
I agree with most of what the person said above, and I think people should be allowed to critique what they don't like and why without getting shot down. However, pirate vs ninja, I was unaware threadless was supposed to be about "art". I just thought it was about t-shirt designs, and what enough people would like as a t-shirt to make printing one worthwhile.
I really like the Bee. The design is adorable. He's a little chubby :). Nice word play. I feel like maybe it should be more centered on the shitt, the speech bubble seems like it would be kind of high up.
This shirt is cute for sure! Poor little bee... I'm sure he has other talents... :)
And i'm not trying to start an argument, because I'm a brand new addition to Threadless, but I don't think it's fair to say that something that someone worked on and created is not art. Art is subjective, after all, even if it is super cute and doesn't suit your personal taste. I mean, you can say it's not "art" all you want, but if someone created it, how can it not be? Besides, if many people like it and want to buy it, why shouldn't it be allowed to be featured and printed?
But, once again, this is just another person' opinion... feel free to educate me on the ways of the Threadless universe :)
Yeah, it is another cute animal design, whoopdy doo. Whats the big deal? The thing that makes threadless so great is its diversity and the fact that it allows designs of all calibers to be judged and critiqued. There is a lot of great art on threadless, there is also a lot of shit. But the thing to remember about threadless is that it is not about art, it is about t-shirts, plain and simple.
And who are you to say that this design lacks skill? Sure it is a simple design but honestly, that is part of what makes it an eye catching one. So many designs on threadless now are these complex swirling creations and, honestly, sometimes simpler is better.
Well woot for me, that was my rant for the day. Have a good one! :P
C) My friends at school would like it and understand it.
So, if you don't like you don't like it and if you do well then, you do. I don't see why people should bag on others because they like something that is cute to them or cool to them. Everyone is allowed an opinion.
