I would place the alive #9 elsewhere, I love the subtle combining of two cat myths, that they sleep a lot (not really a myth, but rather, truth) and that they have nine lives. I would also work on the art a bit more, like one big cloud that the first 8 are all on and the ninth cat is off to the right more and way lower and sleeping on the back of an arm chair.

I agree with some others who say the #9 should be placed elsewhere or not at all on the tee. I might like it even more if all the other cat lives were motioning and trying to convince the ninth life to join them and the number 9 cat was terrified.

did you consider making it a bit darker? Think I'd have had the other 8 with the cause of each death more obvious (dog bite, run over, fish bone in throat?)
Just re-read that and realise I might come across as being a bit of a psychopath... |

#9 needs to move, it is hard to tell if that 9th life is alive or dead since he is so close to the clouds. It is a cute design but needs some work.
