OK this is my first effort at this lark, basically from previous experience, last night I was in orbit, today though its a different story.......

it's definitely the start of something, but it looks to me like live traced stock photos and that really doesn't make the cut here.
if you are able to draw you really should invest a bit more time and do things by hand, scan them in and then work off of that. starting a design by hand-drawing something gives it a lot more personality and makes it look more unique

i don't like the shirt color much..

i agree with ginette. try making it a bit more personal, give it more of that caring touch. Also, you might want to try it on black. It has potentail though.

I think it is cool. It reminds me of 2001.

i don't like the color of the shirt. i think maybe a back color would make it pop more. other than that its really cool.

Thanks for the comments and scoring - as for going the hand-drawn route - that ain't gonna happen on account that I can't exactly draw - still got to have an outlet for my ideas and if that is modifying stock photos then so be it. As far as I am concerned the art world isn't confined to people who can rip-off obscure Japanese animators or knock out senseless, cutesy daubings with horrendous 80s colouring. Anyway I absolutely love the stencil effect you can get from ray-tracing. For me art is an expression of ideas and thoughts the media is almost irrelevant.
Anyway rant over - thanks for the comments

no need to take jabs at me because i tried to give you some pointers. art is art is art but design is different. not everything works in design and certainly not everything works here. as for what i said i still stand by it, even if you think you aren't that good at hand drawing i bet to hell there's some sort of unique quirk about how you draw and i think that would be a lot better received than altered photos. but you can do whatever you want - though this won't be printed here .
(ps mine will neither)

you're right - there is a difference between design and art - and I hold my hands up the jabs were cheap and childish - sorry. I still can't draw though :(
