mezo on Apr 09 '08 Adore the tecnhique and style. Watercolors are such a SOB to use, so I applaud your skill. Not so sold on the imagry, though. The foliage is really sweet but weird monkey paintbrush guy bums me out.

oh, and i don't care for the monkey either, i think a cuter figure--child or person of sorts would be more appealing. but i LOVE the background. i'm a watercolor artist.

Personally, monkey's freak me out, but I'd still buy this shirt, hands down, if it was printed. Gorgeous! Rediscovering watercolors as an adult is so much fun.

This would be hardcore if it was done with sim process.
Basicly you break up your design into the main colours (so.. purple, blue, maybe green, black, yellow and red) and they print each one with a halftone to create the tonal difference and some of the blended colour. This I think would look better on light coloured shirts so it shows that tonal difference (i.e. to print on dark they would have to add a white screen)...so rantting aside, pretty cool |
