Not impressed with the usage of a shirt being printed for free as an advertisement for another company. And I have no idea what the picture is of.

Ok, the picture is a stencil of a female figure that i drew and then made into a stencil here's the original

and as far as the shameless self promotion, it's not a real company. It's just for the design. And if the shirt gets printed it's not for free, because threadless sells them and they make money off them.

I don't think they'd be making any money off this one.

No offense dude, but this stinks. You've combined an ugly font with some strange lensflare like dots, flipped it to make it backwards (why?) and then obscured it with some unkown black mass that aparently is supposed to be a female figure.

Overall the design makes no sense at all and I don't imagine it would drive anyone to buy it.

Sorry to be so harsh, just my opinion.

ok, well that was very nice of you. If you read what I wrote, then maybe there would have been no need for such destructive criticism if you were so concerned with being harsh (which i'm sure you were not). I said "if the shirt gets printed" and if it did get printed, then that would mean that other people voted on it because they liked it and then they would make money off it (and i'm not saying that's a bad thing becaues everyone on here obviosly agrees to that in order to get their designs out there). Second, I'm not saying it wil be chosen i was just responding to the accusation that i was trying to self promote through a free t shirt print. Finally, the font was chosen for it's resemblance to a stencil, that is that there are areas open to lead to where the negative space would have been cut out. I used it in the opposite direction on the top and bottom for balance in composition. I'm sorry that you can't make out the stencil of the female figure, i guess that just takes a little imagination. And that's not a "lens flare" effect it's just a brush. I'm not saying it's a great design, but i don't know why you felt so compelled to say it wasn't. Did you really think your comments would help me in anyway, or did you just want to make yourself feel better by bringing someone else down? But really, thanks for the comments "dude"

I find Unled's critic not offense, I think he's being polite and he's right

Hey dude, we're the masses and we're critical

Maybe you would find it offensive if he was talking about you and said that your design "stinks". I just don't see the need for that and i don't see how that is constructive. Obviosly you don't like the shirt either, but what you said didn't offend me.

Sorry I offended sk8ordie,

by tearing you down i'm trying to make you better. That's what these comments are for. Nobody is above critique, for instance as I write this, a friend of mine is tearing apart some work i've done. I value that, because only when i'm told what sucks about my work can I make it better. I may come across harsh but I'm only trying to help.

You give me a bunch of excuses about your design but in the end that's all they are. And a design has to work without you there to say "Oh well that font is like that because it's supposed to be a stencil."

A Design needs to be able to stand on it's own, and I don't feel this one does that.

I know what a stencil is and this is an ugly stencil font. I think it comes with windows and just lends a cheap look to anything it's used in. And okay, those aren't lens flares but what is the purpose of the bush spots? They fade and that is hard to replicate accurately on a t-shirt.

Despite the fact that I've seen the source image for the black splotch on the right, I still can barely make out what it is. It lays over your graphic strangely and doesn't seem to be thought out very well. It creates a huge unbalance in the overall design and looks more like a printing mistake than a intentional element.

Don't get discouraged, take people's comments in stride and don't try to explain away critiques, you'll only get to be better because of it.
