This is the sort of doodle that can be found on the back of a kid's cereal box or something...not quite sophisticated for a t-shirt. Try researching the Threadless style and the dos & don'ts for winning.
Not that I am against Threadless. I think threadless is great! but I think the styles on threadless should definately widen. Not everybody is into the "retro storybook illustration" style. Alot of my designs I know are not for the masses (as of right now at least). I am just trying to provide a little different flavor to threadless. Thanks for your input though.
I'm not saying to go "retro illustration style" (which that pritned style here is few & far between) more so than taking more time into your designs. They look rushed and thrown together. Not crisp, clean, COMPLETE like Threadless designs tend to be. They are rigid, lack flow, lack confidence, seem amatur. And you really need to study what makes good text layout/font choices.
Well, I can say this is far better than some of the crap that does get printed. Everything is the same!!! Girls with wispy things and the over playing powerlines, birds, hearts and over done designs that just take away from the picture as a whole. I like things that people can understand by just seeing it, not having to sit and frickin study my shirt. Thats lame.
