the oblong horizontal arch of the sky and the vertical water spout just kills it :\
the arch confines it too much and isn't fitting...and the water spout just plain doesn't seem to fit. |

I think that the idea of the people's shapes on the back of the whale would be just as good, if not better than what it there.
