For anyone who feels like a too-short deadline is in their future. This will print on a dark gray shirt with white and yellow ink (as if you couldn't already see that for yourself!)

Should it be "death" instead of "dead"? I love the idea. Something fresh and not overdone! :)

No, it should be dead. Love line, Life line, "Deadline"... get it? I like it, I just wonder how long it would take people to figure it out.... ha.

Yup, that makes sense. Thanks! :)

its too centered

I love this, and I really have to disagree with suzzy here - if you put it to either side you'd have a hand over a boob. Maybe that works for some folks (ahem) but I prefer it centered. Awesome design, fresh idea, love it!

I want this shirt. Good job.

I usually dig off-center layouts, but if the hand was off center it might look like it was a hand on top of a breast (if a girl was wearing the tee) so I wanted to avoid anyone thinking that. Maybe it is just my weird brain that went there though.

I like it... But, if you did want to go a little more overboard , though, you could do something a little in this direction...

"Death" not "dead".

Ooh, ooh, Mr. Kotter!!! Also, instead of just a line for the "death" area... have an "X" at the end of it. Y'know, like here is the point at which you'll definitely die.

This is hilarious and completely awesome in every way. I want it.

Read above, Pixtoons. This is great, but people will keep trying to "correct" it. Print anyway!

So...it's a clever short for palm and taro card readers? Hmmm, seems like a small market.

I'm excited that so many of you like the shirt. In response to FRICKINAWESOME's comment: I was hoping the market would be anyone who has to deal with short deadlines in their lives: writers, artists, designers, students, people working for bosses that are jerks, etc. The fortune telling palm is just a way to tell that idea visually. I wasn't really thinking it would only appeal to those who were into fortune telling. Maybe this needs a headline or some words on it to make it more clear? Personally, I like that you have to spend a few seconds to "figure it out" and get the joke, though.

I think the joke might be too subtle. I get it now: love line, life line, and really short "deadlines." But it looks like it's saying "love - life - dead," like you're striking out with the ladies (or fellas).

All of these comments are helpful, thanks. What you have in your head doesn't always translate well to everyone!

i know this might be a really dumb question, but what are the numbers on the fingers? And I love the idea!!
metameta
metameta on Mar 31 '08
That is not a dumb question! If anything I have a dumb answer: I'm not sure what they mean, but I found them on a lot of vintage palm reading drawings, so I left them on because I thought they were kinda cool.

Pretty dang kewl--although, I tend to be a little biased when that smoking-hot model is the one "wearing" the shirt. I'm not sure about the numbers on the hand--necessary?
