I like the tail. Maybe he does not even know there is a tiger in him,and he feels crappy at the moment, but the tail is there for hope, for inner strength that is found when not looked for.Keep the tail, without it it becomes hopless.There is a tiger in every dork! ROAR!

maybe he was all those things because of his tail. like he got made fun of because of it. but i don't really like the tail with everything else although it is neat looking! i think the shirt would do fine without it! |

Yep, it is art, and the audience always has the choice of supporting it or not. Thing is, this is being packaged as commercial art, and viewer support determines whether or not it is financially successful...
Anyway, not crazy about the tail, hate the color of the shirt you have it on, but I absolutely love the concept and design..I would buy it. |

I say Hurra for the tail, (and I feel I don´t need to know why it is there.)
I would just say that you could add to it a little more plasticity: right now it looks a bit like it was slipped into the trousers, instead of peeping out of them. |

I like the tail. To me it says that the subject is perpetually a tiger who can be gotten by the tail, emotionally.
Love the design, and would totally buy it if the placement on the girl shirt were larger. This might require it being placed lower, and I totally understand why you put it where you did (sadly I am big enough in that region that these things matter a lot). But I think it'd be worth it. |

This would speak to so many more people if he didn't have the tail. The tail gives an obvious reason for his baggage but are the reasons for people's emotional baggage so obvious? No. With out the tail he's anyone (everyone) with it he's one of those weird furries. lose the tail (and the plumbers crack) and this has a much more powerful message.

At the Tail End of this Sub (BIG pun) it was just a depressed dude sitting with a large amount of baggage. I guess that’s okay, but that was all the piece was saying, “You’re lame and you’re carrying all this baggage with you”. I wanted to twist things around a bit. As much as the tail would be viewed as huge physical anomaly and a social impediment in the life of this character, it’s not an issue worth mentioning on the baggage – at least to him. Maybe he’s okay with the fact that he has a tail. Maybe it’s the only thing that makes him…different. Sometimes being different isn’t that bad in this American Eagle World. I dunno. Compared to what some people carry with them all their lives maybe having a tail may be the least of their problems. Maybe the tail was too over the top. Webbed feet might have work. Antlers are fairly popular symbols of social outcasts - at least in music videos. Phuck it I like Tigers and wanted some tiger element in this sub – I jest. I know a lot of peeps are NOT feeling the tail and that’s cool. Thanx for your honesty and comments.

Really nice idea, just... the tail? That confuses me alot. Even with your description, at first glance while someone is wearing the t-shirt it wouldn't be understood.
I think for a t-shirt design, the message needs to be displayed at a glance, and not verbally explained. But very nice idea anyway. |

And I like the animorph thing- I don't think it'll alienate people at all. To say so is ridiculously literalist IMO. Characteristics are associated with animals frequently in myths/ popular culture- I just took it to mean that he had the characteristics of a tiger even though he had all this baggage, or that he's about the walk away from it all. I think it was a good decision to put the tail in- it make the design a little more whimsical and accessible- it has a story even if people don't get the time to read all the stickers. |

love the illustration! it rocks!!!! however, what's with the tiger tail? could you please do another shirt with a tiger too? i'd buy this shirt in a second without the tiger tail, but, if you keep that tail in there i'd have to think a lot harder about it.

A lot of people draw tails on 'people' because theyre part animal, meaning they have an animal form aswell. I do it sometimes, its quite amusing. I actually like this a lot, the tail adds to the picture color wise very well.

i like this a lot. please get rid of the tail though. i just thinkits distracting. other wise this is really cool. and i like this on light blue. on those brighter colors it seems well just a bit...too bright. nice though. coolidea.

I like the tail, its not cause he's a furrie - but to show he got strong feelings inside, that of a tiger.
But if people get so confused about that artist statement, perhaps it should be toned down like it something that comes ouit of his pocket or a smaller one from a keyring in the belt instead. Except from that, it made me smile so it got to be good. |

I REALLY like this. I love the tail, but It does seem to create some confusion. Good call on positioning the image differently for guys and gals. Very few of the low-positioned designs work for women.
