Kind of bloody but I dig the overall design.

The only thing that confuses me are the two red drops coming off the hand. If they're tears they should be blue like the others, but if they're blood why isn't there any on the bird? Nitpicking, I know, just the first thing I noticed. I really like this design otherwise. It's... quiet. Nice.

(On second glance i just wanted to suggest - you could get rid of the blue tears and still retain the sadness, I think. The face says it all. Just an opinion.)
