First submission by me. I recently saw "Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" and really liked it. I read a book on Jesse James as a kid and found it interesting. So I decided to make this piece. Jesse James is depicted at the top of the card with Robert Ford at the bottom. The gun smoke coming from one pistol depicts the shot from Bob Ford that killed Jesse. Two many with many similarities yet were so different.

If Bob killed Jesse, why is Jesse holding the smoking gun???

good point. I had it mind that the gun was pointed at his heart. And Jesse was pointing the gun at Bob's because he was always fearful that Jesse was going to kill him. I can always switch em tho.

what up with the ferrari horse? cool idea, but without the rectagular pattern in the middle of the tee

maybe if the outline of the arms were a little thicker, at least on one of the lines, it would be more obvious that they are held by each other then to themselves?

humm ya apparently that is a problem. I showed it to someone in real life and they thought it was Hitler as well. I used a picture of Jesse James as reference...I guess the strong shadow under his nose looks like a mustache.

Resubs are allowed...I hope you do so. This could be quite cool.

I'm with eZ-kun—lose the rectangle in the background. lose it completely or make it less rectangular. those sharp angles clash with the cards in my opinion.

I did. Few posts up I posted up an updated version where I deleted much of the background element. May be best just to get rid of it entirely if I fool with it some more.

The concept is good, and good use of color, but I didn't get it until I read the title.

What additional imagery will identify this as Jesse James? A silhoutte of a train/train being held up in the background instead of the card graphic? A group of bank robbing on horseback with guns?

The "ink" on the playing card is very dense; I think you need to have more white detail.

alos, and this is really nitpicky, but since your resubbing it anyway, the face card has rounded corners, and the view from the back has squared corners. they should be the same.

I'm not American, but I don't reeally know how recognisablr these people are. Maybe it needs something else so that we know who they are.
