funeral for a friend is a band (an awesome one at that) blackrocker and also the name of a elton john song (i think?)

It's also the name of a comic book series that took place after Superman's death. So it's used alot.

I would like to see it in less of a "Precious Moments" figuration, and with more life-like figures. See Ben Shahn's painting "The Passion of Sacco and Vanzetti."

Great, except I think it would be awesome if the friend and the angels were only in glow in the dark ink. I can't tell if that's what you were planning to begin with, but I think it would really enhance the whole concept.

Not big on the style of the angels' faces, but the concept is good and well executed.. depressing :P

FRICKINAWESOME on Mar 24 '08 Oh my, it looks like lil' kiddies looking at the death of a schoolyard chum! for a second i thought that everyone in the scene is dead, but it's just the angels coming to the person in the casket and notifying him that his number is being served in heaven at the moment. nice understated coloring and soothing linework.
