when the lights go down it looks great! but during the day i would just be wearing a large copy machine
Smashing. This is really really great, I'll be very surprised if I love any other designs for this competition as much as this.
finally it's up...this is the best shirt I've ever seen on threadless. by far the best in this competition. a sure print. $5 $5 $5 $5 $5
have to agree with splatula and welshalex and.........well everyone else because this is simple amazing.
I love this so much. The photocopier is so well done that it doesn't matter that that's all there is to it during the day!
I can't believe I'd actually wear a shirt with a copier on it... but this is so great, I would.
$5!!! |
$$$$$
Another hit. This one blows away the competition. Can't wait to be covering my chest with this. |
best best best! it'd be so good to wear to the bar or just out at night.
or, show how dedicated you are to your photocopier at work during the day.. and at night ;) i love it $5 |
Overall love the design!!! just not sure about the half traditional half human ghost. But what do i know . 4
this idea is great, but i'm not sure i would even really know it was a ghost if i saw it glowing in the dark and didn't know the tee's title. the legs make it just look like a cartoony guy, to me.
Sweet jesus! haha i was staring at the picture and wondering what the relation to the title was when it suddenly changed.
Great concept not sure about walking around with a photocoper on my chest but i could live with it. 5
the glow figure would look like a smudge during the day.
also why didn't you make the man-like creature more realistic; like a "marlboro man-esc" outlined figure with detailing? |
bwhahahhaha! Here's a $5 hoping that it translates well on a shirt.
You've tapped into the gold. Congrats in advance! |
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the great feedback. I never expected this many responses. Thanks everyone! :)
This is definitely the best score I've ever received. It wouldn't have been possible without you guys. Thanks everyone for commenting, voting and supporting this design. I more than appreciate it. :)
dude - this is exceptional! phenomenal concept, great design execution and awesome humor attached! I wish you the best of luck with this even though i'd like to win the prize ;-)
Shit the bed, that's a nice score. Congrat mate - this is one of the best I've ever seen on this site. Really deserves to get printed.
It's a great idea, but I don't see how the ghost will be invisible in daylight? Surely glow ink will stand out on light grey?
Tonteau, thanks for the comment...the super glow ink is very transparent and has a tonal clear effect. So it will be very faint on the shirt, but virtually invisible.
Hey, LB. Hmmm....are you sure that's the case with super glow? Cos I have this shirt which uses super glow and the outlines are most definitely visible. I don't know if the ink has changed, but the old stuff would be fairly obvious. Kudos to you if it works, though.
this shirt is AWESOME and will print perfectly. check out this blog about the GID ink:

Awesome score.
Tonteau is dead right though, no way is GID ink invisible. I see you have the ghost image on the day slide ever so subtly, however, the ink would be more visible. But it doesn't matter because then the idea will also be communicated during the day, thus people won't be walking around with copy machines on their chests. And if ghosts are invisible, how would one copy it's butt? Kind of like if a tree falls in a forest etc etc... And Lastly! |
What, that link sucks, here's a way better link on youtube!
yeah, it definitely looked invisible when I first looked at it too. but then I finally saw the faint apparition.
I'm pretty sure this will be printed whether or not it wins the contest. |
awesome score!! For an awesome design. I hope you are winning the contest :)
By the way, the ghost is not invisible during the day. You can still see him in the preview. (Or her, whatever). |
hey j-ray, yeah, i actually intended for the ghost to be seen in the preview, but it ended up looking more faint then it will if printed. by the way, you have some pretty great designs.
just wanted to see this design again. Surely this won the hot chip comp. brilliant shirt that I desperately need on my body. PLEEEAAAASSSEEE PPPRRRIIINNNTTT!!!!!
i want to by this shirt for everyone i know! and every one i dont know! i want this shirt cause it rawks!
While I can appreciate the randomness of just wearing a photocopier and explaining (if asked) that there's a glow in the dark ghost... I think the photocopier could've glowed in the dark too!
=) |
lol this is soooooo late but who cares? congrats! you must've been earning alot of money, like really? how much?

About my design
Design notes:
-6 colors, including glow ink.
-Cool halftone
-Shown here on light gray, but it would look great on any light colored shirt: white, cream, light blue, mint, yellow.
-Glow ink, although transparent, would appear very, very faint on the shirt when not in a dark room.
