Sun vs. Moon fight it out in "Opposites Attack". The Sun: armed with his handy shotgun
The Moon: armed with throwing stars and special ninja shield.

Simulated process.

i do like this, but is simulated process really necessary for such a 'clean' design? just leave out the gradients or half-tone them and it could be printed normally which i imagine would make it cheaper if printed (though i don't know, not a big printing expert)

Shouldn't the sun have a "Ray Gun"

Just a thought...

The ray gun is a good idea. The shotgun just seemed more exciting : )

i'm not sure the moon's stars are easily interpreted as such.
i like the rest, tho

the moon's stars need to be more like stars, and the sun needs to be using something other than a shotgun, perhaps throwing those spikes that are always around him haha? otherwise, i really like the design and i'm definitely going to buy it.

the moon's throwing stars are representative of positive/plus signs. The shotgun's bullets represent negative/minus signs- these being opposites also. thanks for all the feedback!

Somehow I don't like seeing the sun so aggressive... maybe he should be the one defending himself with a shield? I do like the idea

the shotgun and the shield don't go together very well, but i like the idea.

I was gonna mention something about the sun having a shot gun that was really out of place compared to the moon throwing ninja stars which ties in well, but rubb3ducky nailed it quite quickly! A ray fun would be much better, as for some more integration of the smaller objects into the whole design. I'd put some more flair or movement on the ninja stars flying into the sun's side of the design, and maybe make more of a yin-yang symbol with the two sides going into one another and some slight crater-ish texture in the moon side. This could be really decent with a re-work.

I think I saw another shirt with the sun and moon "fighting" on it before.... but I just can't find it right now. But i think it was printed

Ma-Mich is thinking of Eclipse, and yes, it was printed.

This has a different spin on the same struggle. I don't know if enough voters will see the difference. I do like the raygun suggestion, though.

oh, and the light vs dark line should be diagonal instead of vertical.

i agree with ma-mich the line should be diagonal, also there's way too many clouds, and the sun and the moon's weapons should have more contrast

the moon has something to protect itself. the sun only has a weapon... that's not fair.

wow...I had no idea that there were so many rules of the sky! Like light vs. dark should be diagonal line, not vertical. Y'all have a lot of good ideas! Maybe I will start taking advantage of the submit for critique first. Thanks everyone!
