Wow, I just submitted a design with a similar concept. I really like how you gave yours a hippy vibe!
yeah, and huge old bus' emissions are definitely less harmful to the environment than a new compact car.
This would undoubtedly run afoul of Volkswagen's Intellectual Property Police. They've already killed off one Threadless tee.

"cut emissions" written in a gas cloud over your butt. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAH! |
haha.
i love reading everyone elses comments... it's so much fun. anyways, i like this a lot good job with the color scheme and the whole entire graphics. i would buy this. |
thankyou.....save your kids enviroment thats what i say....and if you can afford to get frozen yours too!!
The colors are great and the art is well done. The message as a whole doesn't do it for me. I think I would like it better in a different context. Like in a magazine instead of on a shirt..
Agree with skip the part on the back, but I like the whole hippie vintage feel.Id wear it in the summer with holey jeans and plaits(Enough,Soph'....!).....Seriously....
It's a good concept and I love the style, but I just couldn't wear something with a "cut emissions" right above my butt... I would get way too many unwanted comments.
nice VW ... those hippies (now yuppies) have stocks in the oil industry , right !
even if someone wanted to tuck there shirt in, on the back you would just see "cut" by their butt. |
thanx everyone, i think after this one has flopped i will submit a version that is just on the front with no text for a critique....so i hope to see you lot in THERE!
really pretty pretty design. it makes me want to go frolick in the nearest feild.... coool colors. should be printed on like blue
ps. there is nothing wrong with being called a hippy.....especially in this day and age, there is so much crap in the world rose tinted glasses can only be a plus
i understand your message, but I think it comes off more as a "hippies don't save emissions either with their old non-efficient cars."
maybe try a different image? |
Pah it worked for me!
El...if your out there i received your myspace message but cannot reply since your Profile is private. Ill be glad to help u get on your way! Hope u want this printed! |
Yes! I'm here! I made my myspace public now so you can send me back a message!
Thanks for the help! :) |
nah dude i think its still private, but i think it might be an under 16 restriction maybe???
first off i use a pen and pencil, the more u sketch before getting on the computer the better! Then depending on how neat i want it to look i trace it with my pad in Adobe illustrator always looks good! If i use photoshop then a minimum of 300dpi to start a document! never looks as good untill its up!! Need anymore advice just ask!! alsoi this might help free tutorials!: http://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorialslink text |
tis good eh?? for free u cant really complain....the magazine costs about 6quid, but there's a free disk with video tutorials and images, brushes and all soughts of crap on it!
.....P.S... I notice your starting to regularly attract a healthy number of scorers nowadays..well done sir!
also chris if u do investigate how many you need to sell before U make profit....try teetonic and spreadshirt first too!
I know you said you used the pencil tool...but did you keep it at stock settings or change t hem around?
Thanks for the help! |
no no i meant a real pencil HB/2b.....!!! and then a pen, the more of this u do the better the final thing will look now matter how skilled u are with a computer!
I actually use the brush tool in illustrator for neat tracing..... Or for instance for the van and flowers i used the pen tool to create vectors. this might help |
