don't know if you know this, but this is also a pretty spot on reference to a classic Japanese myth about the sun goddess Amaterasu...

About my design
The woman in kimono (talking about Japan - land of the rising sun...) is basically holding the sun on her hand.
"Anytime she goes away", she takes the sun along with her.
