I thought it was a retardedly shaped candle until i realized there were faces on the sides. Now that I understand it, its a nice design!

Nice :) though I think I'd like it better if the colors weren't that gleaming red-orange-yellow ... makes it look just a teetsy tiny bit cliché. Maybe green? Blue? Or just less intense colors .. anyway, a good idea :)

I'm just not a big fan of gradients...that kind of kills this design for me.
The use of negative space is neat, and the faces are drawn really well, but at the same time...it makes the candle look like it must be really wide or something, for them to be in front of it like that. I dunno, maybe that's just me. |

I'm sorry to say that I'm not really that impressed. Overall, I think it would be better to put the graphic in the spot where one's heart would be. Also, you went just a little too far with the fade effect, tone it down just a smidge.

As already said, I thought it was a wierdly shaped candle until I started reading the posts and realized what it was. I'm so our of it today. I LOVE it. As shirtflirt said, really subtle but perfect. I'm not a huge fan of the colours they aren't very realistic and a tad bit harsh. Either with or without changes I'll buy it. Great work! $5 $5 $5 $5 $5 $5 $5 $5 and so on.

i actually like this a lot more than i ever thought i could. my biggest problem with it is that the candle flame looks like a giant evil eyeball, staring at their noses. and after i see that, that's all i can see. sorry for the downer. i like it overall – i just can't get past that eye.
