I put this on Critique before the the feather design was chosen or before i ever saw the feather design, but regardless I like the design and I'd wear it

Ya I was pissed when I saw that feather shirt cause I knew everyone would think I copied it. At least the design is unique enough to make it cool

Maybe work with more than one color. It looks a bit flat. The birds in the background could be a darker color than the foreground to create more depth.

there are way to many designs out there that have birds or some other flying animal breaking off from an inanimate object. get some originality.

This is similar to birds of a feather, but I still like it. $5. :)

There will always be designs out there that are similar, it's the nature of the design business, it's all about the way you put your own spin and identity into something to make it cool and trendy, and that's what I've tried to do, and obviously people have shown they like it so far.

FRICKINAWESOME on Mar 01 '08 Even if Birds of a Feather wasn't just printed, while i like this idea, the birds flying off the peace sign seem pretty scattered and not very eye-pleasing, and the pigeons flying off the peace sign in white look a bit awkward and don't flow well. But i do like the negative space idea for the birds already in flight, like they were sitting on the peace sign and flew off once the paint was dry.

Really like it, although the peace sign is a bit too bold. I would still buy it though. 5

Just thought... instead of them being whilte why not a lighter shade of the tee, it would be more subtle, just an idea.

for sure others have done the birds-breaking-off-and-flying-away thing before, but they're clearly all different designs. i just bought birds of a feather last weekend but with some minor tweaks, i'd buy this, too.
i agree that some sort of depth needs to be added through shading, since it's not shown through position. |
