Hello threadless-community! This is my first design. It shows Katsuyoshi, my dear Betta splendens, chasing a larva - a true story btw.

The green parts are meant to glow in the dark as shown on the uppermost tee, which appears to be black, but is not. It's just the lights, that went off.

Man, I was totally doing to do a betta design, but it was going to be WAY different.

I'd like to see this with a little more art and a little less photo doctoring...or if it is an illustration a better detail so I can see! (:

this looks more like a sketch compared to most other submitted designs. it looks like it's in the early stages of a design

you might want to think about implementing an environment for the fish to "exist" in. this might also help with the stale composition you have now.

also the glow in the dark seems sort of pointless at the moment, especially where it is simply an outline of the fish.

this design could be neat but it needs a lot more work. you should submit this with some initial changes into the critique gallery for some more guidance.

I second the glow in the dark comment. It just seems to be there for the sake of glowing in the dark. It's also way too bright compared with the beta

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I tried several "artistic adaptions", but personally, I liked the quite photographic one best.

Concerning the glow, I thought of the glowing ink to be very discrete in bright daylight.

no offense to you but toooooo many people are using glow-in-the-dark ink!!!

as tony sinclair would say, always in moderation.
