I don't think it's too quirky but if that turns out to be the case just belt print it and sell this as some kind of crazy harlequin design. Belt printing seems to be popular 'round here.
This looks good on natural, a little garish on red. |

kennybanzai on Feb 15 '08 I like this ... I just think it could be larger..nice n big! those lines are nice and I love the landscape feel... It could work on pretty much any color including the red... I would like it on turquois or yellow but others may not.

I agree that red is too garish; great design, but a softer color is needed (and please something not so boring as natural!).
