I like how the girl is drawn but whats with the boys "H" shape?
Color in the girl and remove the boy altogether and you've got a winner. |

the cloud fish is beautiful but i agree with drkilljoy, the boy doesn't fit at all. it would be nice to see a more hand drawn look to him like the clouds instead of all that distracting pattern

jasonsho on Feb 12 '08 agree here too - the cloud is perfect - the character needs to be knocked back a bit - a realistic silhoutted guy might contrast nicely with the dreamy cloud.

Hmm, I think the shape of the dude is good. Something about the color of his clothes or the pattern though.... Nice work! Fiddle with it a bit!

squirrel boy is right I like the boy! it gives it a bit of colour. I mean without it it would just be lots of blue. Looks so so good just how it is!

I love the cloud fish but I agree about the boy; he's quite distracting? Maybe stick with the silhouette effect, or just the girl on her own? great work regardless :)

FRICKINAWESOME on Feb 12 '08 I dunno....I really like that there is a small piece of color on the bottom to distract from the top a bit. I think it's nearly perfect as is. Wonderful placement and top-notch ideaism at work here.

ginetteginette on Feb 12 '08 the boy is great, but i find the shadowed girl distracting. she is so close to the boy she nearly ends up looking like his shadow. i can understand you putting her in to demonstrate that the boy is also a kite flyer but i don't find her that necessary.

The style of the boy and the style of the cloud are completely different, so I would leave just the girl.

I like this as lot (I must confess that I totally had a fish cloud idea that I drew out, but you beat me too it... that's probably a good thing thou, because I suck at turning my drawings into computer art, and this is really great) I hope it does well.

That is an absolutely beautiful cloud. I don't think it matches with the boy though, emotionally and aesthetically. Maybe get rid of him and leave a spool?
