Love the colors, and the idea, nice work.

Maybe the cloud needed to be shown at an angle to make it clear that we're looking at a cross-section. In 2-D, as is, it might not be that obvious to some people. Your abstraction of the cloud's interior is brilliant, however.

Here are the inner workings of a cloud, laid out for all to see. In case you didn't know, there's a large resevoir of water for all the drops, a bunch of gears powered by a tiny running man, timpany drums hooked up to speakers for the thunder, and a Tesla coil in the middle for the lightning.

I love the main cloud, the other clouds could go, but overall, really nice $5

My friend is confused... but it just took her a second to get it.
I like the design, but... not sure about rain going all the way down straight...

maybe half tone it out? Not actual half-tone... but the idea of the fade.

Kind of cool. A bit of "Metropolis" in the idea.

:) Thank you all so much!

Relife: What was the confusion? I'd love to get some feedback to clear anything up that's not making sense. I also like your idea of the fade. I'll have to give that a shot.

And I do absolutely love Metropolis, so I'm not surprised if that comes out in this.

I have to agree with dacat - if this prints maybe consider just having the main cloud? I think it makes for an even stronger design. But either way I'll be buying it :)

People seem to go back and forth a lot on the other clouds. I'm not against taking them out, but since I never got a definite answer on that, I just left it more like the original illustration:

The little people at the bottom seem unnecessary in the overall mechanics of the operation.

If there weren't any little people, the water would come out in a continuous stream. The little people are there to separate the water into individual drops.

this reminds me of this cartoon they used to air between shows on saturday mornngs, where a scientist would explain how things worked, but he would always have these crazy outlandish reasons for how. Like once, he talked about how carpeting was actually "grown" like grass.
