About my design
by Laser Bread
I just like the image of a deer walking through a trashy urban street at 3am. I also like the idea of antlers growing to form words. Almost as if to convey what the deer is thinking. This is wildlife from his perspective. City street drawn crudely in red ink. Deer, moon and stars are clean and white to pop off the red and black.

This am nice but I'm don't like the way the animal is cuts off at them bottom.

oh shit, i almost missed the words in the antlers. i'm usually disapointed with deers in designs nowadays but i think that extra touch is totally great. i just wish the deer didn't cut off so harshly. coudn't you extend the legs so we could have a whole deer in your design? it sort of seems like you forgot this was going on a t-shirt when you were designing it.

I am so ashamed I had not noticed the antlers before I read your comment. Very good.

Please make this a whole dear or put a window fram around him?

AMAZING. I really love this design. Ginetteginette, I disagree, I don't think it would look as good if the entire deer body were shown. I can see why he cropped the deer. It's looks perfect in the shirt example.
Bread this is very creative. I love the words in the antlers. Definitely $5

Have to agree, I think the deer cut is too 'harsh' imo.

Okay, maybe I'm bias because this designer happens to be one of the most talented I've seen in my short time on Threadless, but I just think this design is perfect. The entire image cuts off on the edges and the deer maintains that consistency. There is a beautiful aesthetic to this design. It looks wonderful on a shirt and uses the space gorgeously. It's funny how one subjective observation can so easily dictate the opinion of others.
I spend most of my time judging design competitions. This design is brilliant. That cannot be questioned. $$$$$5

I really like this. Did not see the antler verbage, but nice. Interested to see what the entire animal would look like, but I like as is. A definite $5.

Make the deer non-quadrapolegic and it's money.

I don't think you need the whole deer at all. The rest of the deer is implied and we don't have to assume he's got no legs because they're not there!!! How literal do we need to be? This is perfect.

great combo of styles. if we're all making suggestions, i'd like to see the deer "in" the street scene instead of at the foreground. i like the antler words. good stuff!

I like the drawing and design, but I think it'd look better belt printed. so the deer runs right off the bottom of the shirt.

Thanks for all the comments, glad everyone seems to be impacted by this. I think it's pretty cool. And yeah, I dig it the way it is. :)

i still think the cut deer looks lazy. all your other lines are so well done, they all cut off at different lengths. the deer cut totally ruins it for me. i really wish you'd at least try out adding a whole deer if you haven't while you were still designing it.

Really cool style and I love the concept! But I have to agree with most of the other people here, it would work better as a design if you could see the whole deer.

I LOVE the concept, but the deer needs to be in it full.

I really don't like how the deers legs are cut off, if your going to add the deer, add the entire deer or it looks bad.

I love it. I agree about the deer, though. The entire deer would be nice. :)

i love it but i agree that the deer should either be in full or be cut off along the bottom of the shirt.

i would defiantly buy it if the design was on the bottom, so it didnt just start, and the deer was cut off for no reason

I just hope the deer isn't cut abruptly at the bottom. The word wildlife on the antlers is genius.
