The chess piece as a horse's hoof is awesome. The fact that it is plowing the shape of its move is very hard to make out and is probably where a lot of the confusion is coming from.

I like the actual knight, the facial expression is great but the L path being gorged out is kind of. . . . not something. It could be incredible if you reworked that part.

The horseshoe on the piece is great. Though it looks like the "horse" is out on the range, not part of a chess game move. Use the classic black/white squares and more people might understand.

jillustration on Feb 13 '08 ok, yeah the horse is AWESOME. but the path underneath, not so much. You know what would be great? Like a whole herd of them. maybe on a chess board. it should also be a bit smaller on the tee. I love the idea of one gigantic horseshoe underneath tho.
