Really nice. Like it when competition entries fit the theme but also work nicely in their own right, and this is does both beautifully. Buckets of love all round.

Flame away if you must, but is it wrong to be bugged by the fact that the moon does not in fact change its shape from full to half to crescent??? So, yeah, this bugs me, especially since I think the image of the kids rock.

I've seen some amazing designs submitted in the Rob & Big contest, but I really think Danielle hit it out of the park with this one. Her design reflects the theme "best friends" better than any of the others that I've seen.
I'm going to repeat something here that I posted on Danielle's blog, because I think it explains perfectly why this design should win: "the relationship of "best friend" has a very special significance. You're almost in love with your best friend, and I mean that in a purely non-sexual way. When you're with your best friend, it's as if the whole world melts away and only the two of you exist. Danielle's design captures the magic of that relationship perfectly." |

Ack this is so cool! I love it! I too missed voting, but I wanted to mention that the title is a line in/reminds me of the song "The Past Is A Grotesque Animal" by of Montreal, and before I saw the picture I was expecting something that illustrated the next line of the song, "we're always touching by underground wires." Which kind of fits too? I guess? Yeah random okay I'm done.
