I would love the phone one, just so I can confuse the crap outta people standing next to one. Great idea!

I really like the first one, I think it could look really goo (even though I don't like all over print). Great pushing of the boundaries for this comp. Nothing like this up at all.

i'm really liking the idea
dunno how i feel about it being all over one side
and virtually nothing on the other tho
Robsoul
   Robsoul on Feb 01 '08

That would be like a photograph, bonnice. But more than aesthetics, that's literally how a photograph is. And I just realized (off of your comment) that it'd be great to put a time and place on the back of each tee in a hand written manner to add to that concept.

How could this possibly be produced, with the image crossing the sleeve seams and the neck band?
Robsoul
   Robsoul on Feb 01 '08

Through an oversized print. It's's nothing obscure or new, in fact, I done a few for the company I work for. Check out my blog, there are two ways to actually do this.

i think it would look direfret when printed , cause of screen printing technique.
classicrockrox
classicrockrox on Feb 02 '08
I don't like the all-over print. I think when going from the front of the shirt to the back it would look sort of silly. Plus, I'm not exactly crazy about the photographs, as much as I do love Holga.

I just think that people would be disappointed if they saw this design actually printed on a tshirt.
iDanSimpson
iDanSimpson on Feb 02 '08
this would not be a comfortable shirt.
Robsoul
   Robsoul on Feb 02 '08

It all depends on how it is printed, I'm not sure why you would say that without having any knowlkedge regarding all the various types of printing processes out there.

A sublimation print would turn out incredibly soft, you wouldn't even notice there was ink on your tee.

i think that this sorta sucks. you cant have taken more than 5 min to take the pictures and make this.
duchess_of_stl
duchess_of_stl on Feb 02 '08
i looove it. plz get printed!
Robsoul
   Robsoul on Feb 02 '08

Beaman, this is not a digital camera, this is 120mm film that has to be processed. YOu have to drop it off, then go back to pick up the negs, it takes a while to sort through the negs, scan them in (the ones I like) at an adequate size and then do whatever I want with them.

Thanks everyone else for the great comments, I appreciate it.

I like the idea behind this. they could use either process black ink or a water based black so it would feel soft on the shirt. it would also be sweet if they printed them with chunky halftones for a nice vintage photo print look

i really like them all, especially the two on top, but i am not liking the idea of a handwritten time and date on the back... to me, it cheapens the shirt.
michella425
michella425 on Feb 03 '08
do the window blinds really work when you have your arms down and the shirt is no longer shaped like a "t"?

i'm with you - all-over photo prints are nothing new in the skate-snow industry and, as you say, sublimated makes for a soft tee :).

Kind of cool looking, but doesn't threadless specifically state that they don't do sequence shirts. The phone one's the most eye catching but I think Iike the top left best.

to be honest, i'm not sure i'd wear any of them but i think it's the kind of thing that i could only decide on once i saw it. having said that, these would be a great departure from usual threadless prints and would really fulfil the 'think different' brief, so let's get them printed - i'll probably love them when i see them.

a hesitant yet hopeful 4 (maybe 5$)

I really like these! I really like the blinds one, it sort of plays off of the "horizontal striped shirts", but with more character. Plus I love the Holga. I hope this gets printed.
