About the design

Submitted by Tonteau on January 31, 2008

The Woodlouse. Also known as the potato bug, the armadillo bug, the slater, the roll up bug and probably plenty of others. Would probably have to be simulated process, but wouldn't a discharge print be nice, eh?

Bio-bot 9000

I'd rock that shirt like a hurricane.

they're also called pill bugs, sow bugs, and roley poleys, and they are actually crustaceans, not bugs or even insects at all. they're more closely related to beach-hoppers, those things that jump out of kelp when you kick a pile of seaweed.

courtney pie

ah! what if someone tries to step on me?! :D

$5 love the colors! (actually found a lavendar roley poley once as a kid, no lie)

dacat

While my skin is absolutely crawling (no pun intended), this does look pretty cool as a shirt!

Bio-bot 9000

the lavender ones are likely infected with a parasitic worm that makes them more visible to birds, so then the bird eats the purple sowbug, gets infected by the worm, and the worm is happy as can be in the gut of a bird, who eventually poops out worm eggs and a sow bug eats them and the gnarly cycle continues!

le_hell

great suff, i would wear this.
