I like it a lot. I agree with DJ about the end of the rainbow; I'd probably prefer it without the white cloud. But still, very very nice!

I agree with Tonteau and DJ Banks. The elephant sucking up the purple paint is fantastic. The end of the rainbow with that little popcorn cloud is lacking.

I understand what you were doing with it, but IMO the rainbow tapering off like that just draws your eye to the cloud and the eye stays there. The movement should direct the viewer back to the funny elephants.

I really do love this, but I agree with sunshine69's crit; the first thing my eye went to was the bright white cloud and not the real point of the picture. It's not that the cloud looks too simple, it just kinda distracts my eye.
Maybe if you didn't run out of colours make the cloud a colour that doesn't pop out as much? Hmm. |

the boy fitz hammond on Feb 06 '08 I wanted to show was the secret behind rainbows - the hidden bit that you don't normally see. So looking at the cloud first is good - that's the familiar bit that's been seen before. It's only when you follow it backwards that you get to see how the how the magic happens.

The problem is that the viewer really won't follow the cloud backwards because the rainbow spirals and tapers to that point with the cloud. I see that you're really defending this design, and I'm not trying to be harsh or anything. I love the concept and I think it's worth reworking it and resubmitting. maybe the rainbow could end in a shower of color coming down onto an elephant who's drenched in rainbow paint or something.

And I don't think having the rainbow coming down on an elephant would work cos that's not what it's about. It's how rainbows are made - and evidently they are made by a heard of technicolor elephants :)

This is inspired. I think the colors going from graded to solid all at once is a little jarring, it would be more graceful if these transitions were staggered just a little bit. I agree with other commenters about delightful touches (purple, orange) but also that the final tapering point needs a change to something more muted or something different.

Very creative design. I would love it to be printed. Although it is a bit childlike it also gives a feeling of humor and a bit maturity. You would have to have some humor to were it! :(|) :D Print it please

Just a thought, but maybe it'd be better if you reversed the spray? Like, it came out solid from the elephants and went to the spray? Just seems like that might end it better and be more realistic :) I really like it tho, it makes me grin
