A little background on the inspiration for this design. I have just learned about a church group called The Westboro Baptist Church. These people are hateful and disgusting. Seeing their message displayed on the news is disturbing to say the least. Its really enough to make a person sick. I did this illustration as my own personal protest against their bull@#$^ and everyone else who preaches such ridiculous nonsense!

The pink triangle is a symbol for Gay Pride and Gay Rights. The illustration is of two women holding hands. on the gay pride symbol.

That church is completely f'ed up. I just look them up on the web. Comprable to the Klan or Nazis IMO. Great shirt.

I'm not really fond of the solid triangle... I think it might look better being just lines like the other side. The perspective is awesome, and I really love the message.

GREAT way to send a positive message, I love it! BTW, I read where the church leader's son wrote that his father runs a cult and the truth is, like the Wizard of Oz, when Toto pulls the curtain back, instead of this big powerful individual, it's only a small, pathetic old man.

The triangle is a little overt paired with such a delicate illustration. I don't think they should go, but I think they should be developed. Perhaps use pattern work with/and offset fills. Your message is stronger than a 2d symbol. I would automatically zero most shirts using overused symbols. I think this one is simple enough to keep and work into the design a little more. $5, but please resub.

Get rid of the triangles, the people are amazing. AND i love the colors.

how about on a purple tee? it's such a great colour and seems appropriate... i think the bottom triangle should go, and you should keep the top one... nothing wrong with it being a bit subtle. but having said that, i think the woman with her head away could easily be mistaken for a guy - at least at the size on my computer screen - maybe because of the symmetry with the other woman (head closer) it would work in the flesh, but could you make it slightly more obvious she's a woman too? and if they were dressed slightly differently it might make it a bit less narcissistic... nicely drawn shirt though! i wonder if the head of that church was abused as a lad? how could you get so twisted otherwise? and what translation of the bible is he reading! what a dick-head...

friend. this could work on a purple tee as well, it would be up to threadless to decide the color of shirt if they decide it should be printed.

The inverted triangle (point facing down) is the symbol for gay pride & gay rights, without it, it would be even less obvious that this is an illustration of two women.

As for the rest of your comments, these were choices in design, the transparent figures, the same color shirts and tops were used to balance the illustration and I don't feel it looks narcissistic.

by the way, the head of the church is a woman. so go ahead and replace the first word in your last hyphenated word to well... its opposite. I believe she was abused as a girl, reading more about her family, and you can see she was at the very least brain washed.

So, anyone who left a comment like that who is female: you've got nothing to worry about from me. I don't want you. You're hideous and I wouldn't touch you with a ten-foot pole.

"For" homosexuality? What decade do you think this is? Queerness just occurs. Whether someone actually acts on it or not, doesn't make them less queer. It cannot be changed. Have you forgotten that G-d created us in Its image?

i am also a "christ follower" and if this god that we claim "loves all his children" actually does love ALL of his children, then i really don't understand how he can hate his gay children...i thought he loves us all.

if this shirt had been printed, i would have bought 366...one for every day of the year, and even one for the leap years.
i just ordered "gay pride" yesterday and i can't wait until it gets here because i'm gonna wear it with pride!
