tv and movies is in fact not the best way to educate yourself....

ginetteginette on Feb 05 '08 i don't like how the darker orange bits in your design turn lighter than the shirt in your placement. i think the whole thing might have to be darkened for application.

I love the design, but on another color, its too hard too see as it is. Maybe on dark grey ?

Ignore the colouring on the placement, that's just to demonstrate size and placement and is not an indication of colour.
Please go by the colours on the design itself and be aware that it is a large design (larger than on screen), meaning it can be more subtle and still work, and that the contrast would be higher in print. Thanks :) |

I love this design, and I love the monochromatic color scheme. This is very interesting. Don't change anything!

Montro, I think Fearless Leader's point was that it appears the artist has retained the skull design on the back of the moth, which was present on the SILENCE OF THE LAMBS movie poster, but is not, in fact present on the actual moth. Calm down before jumping all over somebody like that.

Actually no, I wasn't copying the Silence of the Lambs. There are several species of Acherontia, some with a more obvious skull pattern on the back than others. This one (the one I was drawing from *photos*)

I'm not sure how I feel about it being on orange.. Though, it does go with the whole autumn theme. But I love the design.

I think it's a really pretty design but I'm not sure about the colours, all in all it seems to get a little lost against the background. I think the orange suits the theme I'd just like a little more contrast. Still it's really lovely.
