About the design

A design using simulated process to cope with the full colour images.
Ideally I'd like the hands to be printed in a high density ink too so they stand out from the rest but it might make it a little too expensive to do.
Hope you like it though.

Great idea, Steven, and the composition looks perfect on the shirt
steven218
cheers lads, i don't think it's normal threadless fare, but it's the sort of thing i'd wear myself, so i thought why not?

Hello? Close up? Without even being able to tell what is going on in these pics, I do indeed like the composition and idea.
steven218
cheers evan, they're all just random pics from guys at the black rock (thanks tesco's sister, olly moss and bramish) and i don't actually have the original with me at this mac, but i'll post one in a couple of days.

real nice $5

what's on the actual slides can be altered. if people don't want portraits, then landscapes are easy enough to put in their stead.
thanks for the comments so far.
SoulfumeInc
totally! its such a fun idea, and I think I would prefer something like a landscape to a portrait
lorynlyn
thats really clever. i like the mixture of images, portraits, landscapes & objects, it gives it a really personal feeling.
bananaphone
yeah but it's someone elses personal feeling... If it were some magic t-shirt that you could merge with your flickr account and have your own photos printed into the template, well then that'd work.
steven218
is it too late to enter that for the revolution comp? we could sell each shirt for a bargain $400.
kidding… i don't have a problem with other people on a shirt myself, i don't read too much into shirt designs, but if it pleases others and makes it more printworthy, then landscapes it is.
damn, i so wanted to see bramish on a threadless shirt too.
lindsmae
cool but i wouldn't want someone else's photographs on my teeshirt, i'd want miiiine
littlem
bramish, is that you at the SD zoo, too? ha
Raid71
another excellent idea, you always get my $5

Pixtoons
"Simulated process"? It's process color, or it's not... so it must be four-color process.
ofthecoast
those are fun.
personally I don't mind the idea of strangers on my shirt
"who's that?"
"I don't know, but it sure looks like they're having a good time"
"oh. but what does your shirt mean?"
I would wear this.
steven218
Hi pixtoons,
While I'm not completely au fait with the in's and out's of simulated process, as far as I can gather, it's exactly that - simulated. I think they run up to 8 plates to give the illusion of a process print. Look at Hogboy's 'Mr. Choppy' to get an idea of what they can do.
I'm pretty sure they could print this, as I know threadless get a lot of subs every week and will reject anything that doesn't meet the criteria for printing, otherwise we'd be scoring 1000's of subs a week rather than hundreds! :)
