About my design

by Don Vito
This design is a new concept from a previous design I made called "The Bullfighter and the pork paradox". If you donīt know what mean "Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero", you can search "Carpe diem" on the Wikipedia.

I know 'Carpe diem' means 'Seize the day', but I have no intention of looking up the rest of it. I think if your concept requires anyone to look something up, then you can safely assume that it won't be that popular. If it is a concept rather than just a visual arrangement - it needs to be understood immediately. It's an okay illustration, but silhouettes are tired, and the blood splatter seems to be floating mid-air.

I completely agree with the comment above me. To be quite honest with you, even after looking it up, I don't understand.

I like the other version better, and personally liked this more before you attempted to "explain" it...

Iīm agree with that. The only reason I propose to look at Wikipedia was because some one could have interest to know what that it means. About the second part...many years ago I painted abstract pictures and people usualy ask me about the meaning of the pictures and I never answer because there was my feelings and people is clever to look inside them and feel.

"It's an okay illustration, but silhouettes are tired, and the blood splatter seems to be floating mid-air."

First of all thanks. I love the silhouettes but I understand you are tired of them. Wich part of the blood splatter is floating mid-air? The top one is floating, yes, with the birds and the bottom one is not floating. Try to cover the top and you can see how the blood is not floating.

Thanks again for your comment and sorry for my english.

I don't mean to discourage you, but please come up with a new idea. The silhouettes with blood splatter and stabbing knives are all looking the same and are all disgusting and bad.

Donīt worry, Iīm not going to discourage my self. That kind of designs donīt have any market here. I understand it.

This design creates an emotional response. That's of artistic merit, but this does not necessarily hearld commercial success. I always ask myself, would I be comfortable wearing this shirt and what message am I sending out?

the blood seems backwards. if the sword was stuck thru the pigs back, the spray and chunks should be on his belly. Unless the title means "stick the sword thru the pig backwards"

Why do you think I donīt know all that?
