cute cute!!! i think the only reason the sample pic looks off is because of the shadows in the actual photographs, I think it would work perfectly in practice.

i think it would look a little better if the design was tilted on the side so the heart was upright just like you have on the submission. its great though. :D |

I'd buy it if you had used colors that are a little less stereotypical than pink/purple for a person with long hair and blue for a person with short hair. Maybe tilted (like someone else said), and a bit smaller? Very cute idea though.
