I don't mean to be a snot, but since I've been drawing a lot of steampunk lately, I couldn't help but notice-- your gears don't line up. In fact they overlap.

i dont mean to be a goober, esp since I *heart* FM, but i feel like this would be more awesomer if it was drawn like a 19th century book illustration, such as one you might find in a jules verne novel, cuz that's the feel I'm getting from it. and the guy was dressed in some redonculous dandified outfit with a high collar and tophat, that sort of thing. It's still a nice execution tho.

@vixyish: yeah, the gears do overlap, but haven't you seen gears that had one size on one side and another size on the other so they look like they overlap, but really they don't....? Steampunk should be somewhat inscrutable, IMO.
