Oh, I totally missed that! I thought it was a burning can (like in Donkey Kong) for some reason. Oops. Poor sad Slinky. :(

Laser Bread on Jan 18 '08 Kogepan, yeah, I actually put a lot of detail in the Slinky illustrations, but the file here is compressed and lo-res so it's harder to some of those endearing moments.

Laser Bread on Jan 19 '08 Frickenawesome, yeah I wanted it very minimal. Simple is what I like best. I like that the shirt color makes up the building without having to add uneccesary elements like brick work. The flat art makes it more graphic, shadows and smoke I think would take away. Glad you like the idea. Thanks for commenting.

I think you should make the stretched out slinky with little narrow loops instead of zig-zag lines, so that it looks more like a coil. I'd also like to see a couple more jokes. Like maybe a tangled panicking slinky.

Love the idea but i would show some more detail: IE so that the door looks like a door on fire and the slinkies are clearly slinkies

Laser Bread on Jan 21 '08 Trust me, the detail is there, but primarily on the slinkys. Look at the thumbnail and you can get a sense of the slinky detail. The detail on the door, fire and staircase is intentionally minimal and graphic.
