Brown as in tan, or dark brown? Dark would conflict with the chocolatey warriors, but the tan I mentioned could be good...

olie! on Jan 17 '08 really nice idea, but if it were me I would give the mallow some arms and legs and have them tied to the pole in stereotypical savage tribal fashion, and maybe even put an apple in his mouth. maybe.

I'm worried about a lower placement, though. I used the shoulder space to really widen out the design for maximum awesomeness. I'm afraid that if I lower it, I'll have to make the whole thing smaller, and that will ruin the effect.

we don't have s'mores in Australia so I don't know if anyone here would find it funny. But as soon as you think of it as a marshmallow it IS funny. But makes me think twice about killing marshmallows.

Ha! Yeah, I was a big Far Side fan myself. :) Actually when I started creating comic strips, I had kind of hoped to be compared to the Far Side and several people have made that comparison without my prompting, so that's been a boost for me.
Though paper beats rock really reminds me more of the Far Side than these other two... speaking of which, what happened to Swank Banana? I was gonna check it to see where the critiques were at and I can't find it now. Did you delete the critique? |

I like this design by the way. Maybe you could create a free store for it on CafePress.com. The free store only lets you put up one design on the store -- I have a premium shop there myself with a bunch of designs and figure I'll put the Pigasus up there if it doesn't get printed here.

Didn't realize this one was still being considered for print when I posted the last comment. :) I still think CafePress is a decent option for designs that don't get printed here -- you know, one or a small handful of vote-based sites can't really satisfy market demand as a whole. Look into the Long Tail which explains how a company in the "information age" can make more money by focusing less on "best sellers" and more on selling smaller numbers of a wider variety of less popular items.

Man, I'm so bummed that this didn't get printed! So many people seemed to like it! I'd get it printed elsewhere, but for single shirt it's like $26!
I'd resubmit, but honestly, people liked it the way it was, I don't want to change anything... |

About my design
Should be available in red, light blue, light purple, and sand-colored.
The art style was very loosely based on one of my favorite comics ever, The Far Side by Gary Larson.
For me, the spirit of the shirt is summed up by that one chocolatey hunter's hand raised in glorious celebration.
